Am I the only one that thinks both Emerald and ORAS are worthy game for the Hoenn region? Can we agree that they're different Hoenn experiences?

I wished ORAS were remasterings of Emerald instead. Otherwise I thought they were great.

I still hate Mega Evolutions and I still hate how tey kept the Ruby Sapphire Gyms. GF sucks honestly. 1st Time on 4chan.

I will say that ORAS finally made me give a shit about collecting them all. The dex nav was fun and completing the small map sections was great.

The decision of to diversify the Gym leaders and the FUCKING Villain team made it a groan to play. Seriously Aqua admins team where a fucking joke

This is the kicker. I bought OR for a Ruby/Sapphire remake on the face of it, and had a great time. No aneurysms here. It just belly-flopped its unspoken obligation to be the "more substantial" Gen 6 game; I think the people expecting the divine synthesis of Emerald's challenges and HGSS's nuance were fooling themselves, but I was more right than I wanted to be.

unpopular opinion (fact) but for all its faults XY are somehow the HIGH POINT of 3DS Pokemon

USUM, if you pretend SM never existed, are games that definitly live up to XY. They run better, they're more polished, they bring fresher ideas. Their downside is the cutscenes.
