Nah, Steven is bad but half of that reasons are made up BS, Generic? Yes, but he did help you with the evil teams, his father's wealth is never mentioned to have helped him with Pokemon battles and the company being evil is outright bullshit, they make pokeballs.
The worst champion is Dianthia

I like how in FRLG you can actually visit Lorelei's house and see how she collects dolls. And she also protects her island and laments on how her job keeps her from being home. Did a lot to turn her into an actual character rather than just an exp bucket

Did you even play the game? Her first appearance is at Castelia in BW2 and then again at Opelucid. Then there's her memory link.

Hell she has more lines than Cynthia does in DP.

So I take it you only played Plat then. Hell even in plat she barely gives a shit about the region given she was late to stopping Galactic because she was researching legends. So she KNEW what was going on with Galactic from the start.

Cynthia's role is expanded a lot in Platinum. She will go with you to the Distortion World, she can even visit you in your villa and you can also meet her in the Celestic Ruins after you beat the league and she will discuss about the lore and legends of Sinnoh.
