Actually, from the sounds of it, Pichu got reworked into a sort of Anti-Lucario.
Most of Pichu's attacks seem to do extra damage, or have other beneficial qualities, at the cost of damaging itself and the light weight.
Pichu is now a rushdown character even more savage than Ridley

Not how echoes work. Raichu is too big to be Pikachu's echo fighter. The skeleton needs to be identical and while the skin over it is different. You could do a standard clone like Young Link or Roy though.

It's over for us owlbro. All Smash characters are permanent now, and honestly Decidueye is a flavor of the gen Pokémon and even then has heavy competition from the other Alola starters. There's no way he's getting in now, not with the limited newcomer space we're getting. RIP Decidueye.

Honestly, this.
If Sm4sh didn't come out EXACTLY when it did, we might have not even got Greninja.
If Sakurai ever decides on a pokemon rep after this, he's either looking for what's immediately popular, or else taking a looksie at what pokemon just screams smash.
Not to reignite this, but one of the best bets are something like Hawlucha or Incineroar. It's a fighter archetype Japan loves, but doesn't have a place in Smash yet.

That's actually how it works, dude. Dark Pit and Lucina were both alternate costumes. The reason Doc isn't considered an echo fighter is because he has a more distinct fighting style and a few animation differences from Mario. Dark Pit's moves have no differences except his neutral and side specials having different properties, Lucina's blade properties are different but she reuses all of Marth's animations. Raichu inherently cannot do this for Pikachu, because it's bigger.

We're totally splitting hairs here, the work to put in Raichu as a clone would not be all that strenuous. It's just that it'd be on par with Young Link or Toon Link copying Link's moveset than Lucina copying Marth's.

Lucina's inch of height difference does not affect any of her hitboxes at all. It is functionally cosmetic. Do the same to Raichu and you've got half the space it takes up being dead air. Raichu would likely have a different weight, jump height, air speed, and running speed as well. So it's more like Roy/Young Link/Toon Link/Pichu/Dr. Mario, than Daisy/Lucina/Dark Pit ie not an echo.

Basically I have no problem with Raichu being in but it would be slightly more work than what you're saying.

Ivysaur is back, so that base is covered.

Anything else beyond those would be superfluous changes at best, like using leaf blade in place of regular sword attacks.
