I know this was balanced for Gen 5, but why?

Some of these Pokemon are straight-up unusable in later games. Why would I catch a Vullaby in Alola if it evolved right before the Elite Four?

Sorry /vp/. Maybe I'm not understanding something. It just sucks I can't use my bro Mienshao until the game is almost over.

You can catch a volcarona a braviary and a mandibuzz early in bw2.

I wish most pokemon had later evolutions and that the E4 levels were around the 70-80s. Anything's better than what they did with Jangmo-o.

I really liked Jangmo-o starting from its reveal.

It's a shame that it's obtained so late in the game. My friend traded me an egg so I could raise a Jangmo-o regularly.

I don't mind Mienfoo because up to 40 it's faster than most of the things it's super effective and it has a very good moves, but i have no idea what were they thinking by making fucking Tynamo evolve at 39, shit already useless past 20, at least once it evolves you can evolve it again right away with a stone

It wasn't. You won't reach 50+ levels before E4 so these Pokemon are effectively postgame exclusive. Larvesta is the most retarded here. You get it from an egg lategame, it's in 'slow' experience group and you can get 70lv Volcarona almost immediately after credits. What's the point?

Additionally, almost all of these Pokemon have around 350 BST which is horrible for 40+ levels.Tynamo evolves earlier but it really is abysmal. No moves and best stat being 60 Speed. It shouldn't evolve later than starters.

Not to mention this is an RPG, there a lore element to this. It's like playing Final Fantasy when your character changes to a more powerful class later in the game, or Final Fantasy 5 when you get the grand daughter very late. It's not about the power, it's about making friends with the individual.

It's ridiculous that by the first Gym you'd already have your starter evolved once and twice before the third meaning it's done over halfway through.

Experience/leveling is the most needed reworking and almost none of them need to go down, but up.

I don't have the patience to go into it all right now, but, for example, it's ridiculous that there are 100 levels but almost half of them have nothing that evolves at that level. And then when you throw in competitive, it's essentially pointless to have a level past 50 as it stands. Especially now that you don't even need to level them for the moves since the "reminder" now somehow teaches them things they've not yet known to need reminding.
