Platinum is a great counterpart to Dawn.
Everything that I found annoying with Dawn was pretty much solved with Platinum.
It's so weird how mannerisms and personality can greatly change how much you like the general design of a character.
I mean they practically look the same aside from the mangaka's style of drawing the eyes.

Platinum had a great character development, from a kinda aloof girl to someone who actually conects the trio together and who can hold herself pretty quickly. She getting stronger is what motivates Dia and Pearl to get stronger too. It's satisfying how Dia, being slow and dull, becomes the heart of the group.

Eh, Ruby is still the best one to me, but Diamond had his charm. Similar to X, that gloomy look hiding someone badass is all I needed to enjoy the arc. DPPt remains as the arc with the best group dynamics.

Pearl and Dia have manzai routine. As a heavily pun based skit they are not translated well. The other anon is just a bitch though. I like the routines because they typically feel like group bonding time and is what initially adheres Platina to the two.

Nuh uh. Special somehow manages to be worse than the anime, and that's saying something. At least the anime doesn't take itself too seriously and turns itself extremely edgy over small things.
It's not engaging, it's not entertaining. It's just an over-glorified and unnecessarily complicated version of the games.

anime Dawn and Platinum have the least in common with the concept tho, Mitsumi was under professor Rowan's care and work. Platinum at least had the part where she's a really polite and well behaved "proper" girl.
