Are you the journalist? Do you know which Pokémon he was trying to hit? Have you seen the TreeHouse demo to verify this same thing only happening to Pikachu? Have you played Pokémon Go for more than a few times? I’m pretty sure your answer to all this invalidates your opinion because this VERY SAME MECHANIC is used in the Pokémon Go and it is not any glitch/whatever, it is how it is supposed to be to create difficulty. Well it's a stupid way to create difficulty if you motion to throw the pokeball at the middle of the screen but the game decides to send it spiralling to the left or right instead. This new capture mechanic is meant to be about skill, not luck or random dice rolls to decide where the ball is going to go. Do you not comprehend what the other anon was trying to say? We know that rarer Pokemon will move about more to make it more difficult to catch them, but that doesn't mean the game should disregard your input and send the ball wherever it wants. That isn't difficulty, it's a random dice roll and it's stupid.

It is exactly how go works, but nothing to do with strength. I think it's designed to force a miss to try to make you spend money on more balls. You can slide it the same way every time, 4 out of 5 will still miss by flying way left or way right, and of Let's Go has that same issue, it has me worried about microtransactions.

Do you even play the game? Can you follow my words or should I perhaps talk with less sentences? Because "Pokémon Go" has more to the catching mechanics than having the Pokémon moving around to make it harder to catch. A Pokéball can literally change its trajectory out of nowhere because the Pokémon has more CP/rarer. This is artificial difficulty and Go is made of that.

The game does have "wind" that will blow the Pokeball off to the side sometimes if you're not throwing curveballs. It happens most often when you're trying to catch evolved Pokemon. I'm having a really hard time finding a video of it because everyone who records the game knows to only throw curveballs. You can go ask in /pgg/ if you want people to back it up.
