Yeah, like perhaps some individual side stories unrelated to Ash and Co. Something like and old guy and his old Pokemon trying to escape a raging forest fire. Them dealing with the fire, other Pokemon, and maybe some thieves legit trying to kill them as opposed to Team Rocket locking them in an easily escape-able cage or 10 ft deep pit.

Bird Pokémon seem like the most likely carnivores. Some reptilian or saurian Pokémon such as Rhydon and Tyranitar have no such need for meat, aggressive though they may be.

Though it may be probable that Grass starters are an invasive species. Like weeds or kudzu.

Rowlets on the other hand, are gluttonous for most gutter trash Pokémon like Furrets and Bidoof as well as any bug in any stage.

Been legit thinking of making a fangame with Fakemon that delves into farm-to-fork issues; I'm not even close to vegan and I buy factory farmed meat all the time, but goddamn if it isn't an issue that could be addressed with maturity and thoughtfulness through gameplay. Sort of like a Stardew Valley meets Pokemon. I realize it's a huge task and maybe not even one I'm capable of accomplishing, but I think if there were a series that could do it justice, it's Pokemon.

You have some stuff about how Flygon and Krookodile hunt together, and some OTHER stuff about how Magcargo is hotter than the fucking sun. It's so inconsistent, and it's been that way since the very beginning. And now no one will ever actually take it seriously. Good job, Pokemon.
