>>35920033>It's not even a main game.Disregarding the inevitable debates over whether or not this is a mainline or spinoff, it's the fact that this kind of railroaded handholding could bleed into future mainline titles to make sure GameFreak doesn't accidentally scare off the audience they're pursuing with LGPE.
I'm sure once the 2019 games come around and they make it clear they're for seasoned players, the normies will feel intimidated by this statement and then feel overwhelmed by the 800+ Pokemon, Mechanics that were completely absent from LGPE and the completely different tone of online, and then get audibly angry that all they got was LGPE before they went back to "pandering to losers in their mom's basements".
