Soulsilver. Wanted to use mons I never really used before, either from trading limitations or only showing up at Kanto, or whatever else. Snorlax and Lugia are two mons I like but have never put on an ingame team. Sneasel, Snorlax, and Houndoom I traded eggs over for, so no EXP scumming.

It’s really not that slow. Heracross and Misdreavus (when it evolves) will be pretty fast for in game. But I see what you mean. Ultimately heracross will have a scarf, Togekiss will have espeed and misdreavus will evolve.

Same here. Which is why I'm using Misdreavus as my starter. And I never played Johto with Togepi which is insane.
Also I wouldn't really blame you if you did EXP scum for a johto game tbqhwy.

I did everything BW2 has to offer. The Black Tower, the round 2 of the Elite 4, every superboss, all landmarks, and without using items in battles. I enjoyed this playthrough the most out of all the games I did, and had quite a load of close calls in battles.

In terms of difficulty of the games of such a restricted challenge of the games I completed, I'd go

Colosseum>>>Platinum>BW2 (Challenge Mode)>FRLG>*POWER GAP*>HGSS>*POWER GAP*>ORAS.

Now I just gotta beat XY (if I ever get around to it), XD, and continue my USUM challenge.

Honestly, if you let it learn discharge at level 31 as a Flaffy, and then evolve it, Anpharos will carry your team. This happened to me during my own Heartgold run

I'm playing Alpha Sapphire. Here's my planned team; I've just done the Meteor Falls stuff and I've already got the first four members of my team.
Gallade is a rape machine (the fact that it learnt Close Combat in Fallarbor helps), Shedinja is either absolutely amazing or utter dead weight, Crobat is pretty good and Torkoal is fairly unremarkable so far.
