I have seen the test pilot for the anime. There are two of them and they each span 10 and 15 minutes each.
>Just remember, there is no music playing during these and some of the animations haven't been finished.
>The first pilot starts off like episode 1. It features a somewhat elonggated gengar and something that resembles Nidorino but doesn't have horns and looks far more aggresive. Gengar attacks it and the Nidorino attacks it making a far more comedic battle.
>It zooms to Satoshi. He looks a little more like something out of Dragon Ball and he wears the clothes of his counterpart, Red. He's also a little more debu. The frames weren't animated here but it starts off by saying that Satoshi wants to be the strongest trainer alive. His mom comes in and tells him to go to sleep (its a little like that scene where Hanako tells him to to go bed without the clock).
>While Satoshi is sleeping, it zooms out to his house where a cat can be seen sleeping. It wakes up when it sees a shadow of an unknown creature. It doesn't appear to be scared but rather confused.
>Satoshi isn't too late, he wakes up and runs towards his rival. This is Shigeru and they have a huge argument over who can become the strongest. They run in the lab and Okido-Hakase is there telling them that their lives are about to change and they can choose a Pokemon.
>I should also note, they aren't refered to as Pokemon in the pilot. They're refered simply as monsters.
>Shigeru goes first and he picks Hitokage, a far more huge looking manacing Charmander. Satoshi is allowed to pick now but it seems 2 trainers already picked the last...three remaining monsters? Yeah it looks like there was one more monster on the table>Okido-Hakase says he'll have new monsters in a month but Satoshi can't wait that long but goes home sobbing.
