The fact that I can make images like pic related for every single gym, not just the first ones, from gen 6 onward is absolutely fucking pathetic. This is failure in game design incarnate. Every single "boss" in the game is handicapped, not because "y-you just want everything to have a smogon moveset", but because Pokemon are intentionally designed to have what are typically the worst or most bland moves they could possibly have-- even if it means literally ignoring levels to give worthless moves or, and this is extremely common, just outright not giving a pokemon four fucking moves.
