Still one of the best designed Mega, too bad that he never got the chance to shine in the anime because Yajima was too busy with turning half of mega evolved pokemon into jobber for his Alain.
We could have gotten a league match between Mega Gallade and Ash-Greninja. In fact I wish Ash could get a mega Gallade since he lost Ash-Greninja because of Alain.

Sacred Sword is so gimmicky that even Drain Punch would be a better Fighting move of choice. The Honedge line & Kartana are the only ones that use it in competitive as they lack better alternatives.

Everything isn't about competitive, I would like to use it because it's better than CC for playthroughs and it fits it thematically. It's lame that the Pokemon with sword arms doesn't learn the sword attacking move of the same type.

The biggest crime of all is that Mega Gallade was their big change to correct Gallade's weird birthing hips and they instead opted to give it Duel Disks and a Cape to make it look like a transexual Seto kaiba
