Held items doesn't seem like it since the menu doesn't have a "Give Item" option when you click on a pokemon. Abilities I don't know.

It deserves less than that but it will be on the range of 10M because of the following reasons:

1. It has Kanto and its Auto marketed by being a Go
2. Genwunning is hella of a drug
3. Idiots that "wanna prove wrong" to those "awful" competitive players, that will show them
4. Most of the Pokemon fandom Are idiots with no self-control nor sense of quality and will buy anything with the Pokemon name on except for Pokken, since also most of the fandom are filthy casuals to proof the sole existence of these games

Give it up OP, just beg that Gen 8 isn't Too "Go'd"

You have to remember that Pokemon can print money based on Brand Recognition and Brand Loyalty alone, and the fact that these games are Kanto Reimaginings built for the most casual of casuals means not only does a fat chunk of Japan automatically love it, the normies in the West will, too.
You need to stop pretending Pokemon's some niche franchise when it's literally bigger than Star Wars and get realistic here, OP.

Some sources consider it mainline, some consider it spinoff.
But don't be surprised it the casualization and lack of essential mechanics in LGPE bleed into the games after the 2019 games, especially if reception regarding difficulty is poor.

LGPE is a cash grab using minimal resources and will bleed into the new games 2.
