I was same, until I reached the Swamp area, when I kind of lost all interest... it goes pretty much downhill after visiting the main city for the second time imo.

Kalos is a fantastic region. Of course XY main issue is that they feel unpolished and unfinished but that doesnt mean the overall product is bad

One of the best replayability value games in the series by far

Gotta agree, XY may have lots of flaws but overall the game's a really nice experience. Beautiful landscapes, nice regional mons, relaxing music, everything's just so comfy. Sometimes I'll just play it to skate around and do nothing, I don't feel this way with any other game which is weird.

I liked it during the first playthrough, but i honestly grow to love it even more the more i remember about it. The hype season was one if not the best one, the game is comfy, i love almost all the new mons etc...
The only bad aspects are gyms puzzles and leaders being boring and the simplicity of the game.

It's a damn shame the screen handles it like shit, but the details of backgrounds are comfy and detailed.
The sceneries makes me remember ORAS soaring, when they scale and simplify the place to have a bigger picture

Out of interest what are some of the biggest problems?
XY may be my favourite games, the only parts I remember not liking are the cutscenes involving your friends.

I love XY btw, i'm not one of the haters, but here are the problems ai have with the game:
-gym leaders aren't as important as they were before and the puzzles are stupid and/or easy
-the game becomes "empty" of events and interesting places halway through, just like if GF didn't have the time to program more events.
-not enough lore on the legends
-too easy, especially because of the number of pokemons each Trainers has.
-not that much thing to do postgame

Almost all of these could have disappeared with a third game, but sadly, we got fucked in the ass.
