Pokemon designs stopped being good when you could no longer tell a pokemon's type from a simple glance. So around the time this not bug was introduced.

That's a case of "Pokémon not being able to be 3+ types" which has been around from the beginning.

Even gen 1 had that shit. Most Pokemon could be types other than their actual type. The important thing is their actual type makes sense on them visually. So a bad design would be Lucario or Decidueye.

Don't be stupid. Before Decidueye ghosts were either non-solid creatures or haunted objects. Gen 7 broke the consistency with "my mom's animal with arbitrary ghost powers." It's not reflected in his visual design at all.
