What defines a "genwunner" ?

I heavily prefer the pokemon from gen 1 and 2, am I a genwunner?

Is it someone who exclusives plays the first gen or has only played it?

Gen 2 and gen 3 never interacted and required a new system. A lot of the people that played gen 1 had gen 2 games or were able to trade with them so they were lumped together.

Yes but Gen 2 seemed to fall short of the immense pokemania and wasn't really a part of the Pokemongo resurgence.

I think if you start lumping in Gen 2 diehards with Gen 1 people then the supposed "genwun" term becomes quite wide.

Genwunner is a pejorative meant to denote that you hate/deny anything after gen one.
For example, you can like gen one and not be a genwunner. If you claim gen one is the only true Pokemon material and all others are shitty and inferior in every way, then you're a genwunner.
