Asuka is described as a "strange guy" with cat-like eyes. He is one of his school's best students and belongs to the paranormal phenomenon research club. He loves strawberry candy and has a weakness for guys with ESP abilities. The second-year junior high student used to play on the same soccer team as Eevee trainer Yuki Fukuma and the two are still good friends.
Umbreon and Raito Akutsu were designed by Occultic;Nine and Rental Magica artist pako. Raito refers to himself as a "fallen angel dressed in darkness" although his real personality is very shy. He's currently in the middle of puberty as a second year junior high student. He's been in the same club as Asuka since childhood.
