So, how does /vp/ feel about totems? Would you wish to see them again? Should they be implemented the same or be changed?

Honestly, even if they aren't classified as Totems, boss Pokemon that can't be captured would be a pretty rad feature to keep.

I think some nonstandard boss fights are a really good way to shake things up. The trials themselves were all really lame though.

absolutely yes, bosses pokemon are a fucking great concept and I need more
but they need to be more like actual bosses; phases, immune/reduce x effects/moves to prevent cheesing, and especially need to be wayyy more bulky than usual (even a usual "frail" pokemon like salazzle should be a minimum bulky because it's a boss and shouldn't be ohko by the random mudbray you just catched on the road or by just a super effective z-move)

really good, stat boosts and 2v1 are the only way to make sufficiently challenging boss fights
the reason that gen 7 isn't casual

I hope they keep them, but scrap the current trial philosophy, let's just have real dungeons instead
also hide their HP bar, relying on text or behaviour cues to determine how well you are doing
