OP here, time to post my weaponized autism.
>BackstoryHe was originally a Gym Leader, for quite a while actually. Y'see, he's a prodigy of sort, real good at battlin' even as a kid. He was assigned Gym Leader after his father retired. After a few years he found being a Gym Leader stale, and retired as well, running off with naught but his Nidoran, and meets the Prof, gets a Dex, and sets off on a journey.
>PersonalityRetains a considerably upbeat personality, which is kinda suprising considering his type specialty (Poison). Acts as a friend, but also a rival who's willing the beat the protag via any means necessary. Often congratulates the protag after defeat, but not too much, and gives a free item occasionally, though it might actually be needed considering the region's difficulty. Really, really loves his Pokemon, and gives 'em only the best.
>Partner PokemonNidoking. He's always out out of his ball and has a similar personality to the rival. Also notably protective of smaller Pokemon.
>Team-Toxapex (Used if the Fire starter is chosen. Stalls a lot)
-Salazzle (Used if the Grass starter is chosen. High speed attacking)
-Roserade (Used if the Water starter is chosen. A pretty solid attacker)
-Mega Aggron (Obligatory Mega, big boi)
-Togekiss (Serene Grace bullshit)
-Haxorus (Heavy hittin' badass.)
-Alolan Muk (Psychic immunity. Stall)
-Nidoking (Ace, Sheer Force special attacker)
>Actions in the storyBattled quite a bit, and assists the protag in numerous ways. Shows a lot of determination in beating the protag, almost too much. Helps fight the evil team and genuinely whoops ass at it too, his Nidoking and an admin's Tyranitar become serious rivals.
