>>35968760>>35968742I agree with you completely about the BF, and to a lesser extent about the PWT.
A relatively tiny proportionate of players really have the patience and
autism to even prepare for something as RNG and meta-esque as the BF, the PWT at least has some kind of fanservice element with past characters returning so that makes it a bit more enjoyable.
In my eyes a good post-game would entail having new species of Pokemon becoming available to catch, new areas are a must (the Sevii islands, Kanto, the whole Sinnoh post-game island), and there should be some kind of daily/weekly events
(a la the HGSS safari zone block system - but not as tedious - and rematches, stuff like the Lapras encounters, basically anything that involves time investment) to actually make people want to stay invested. I would say XY have a godawful, almost nonexistent post-game but even that shitty town and its Friend Safari managed to tide me over for a while purely because of the new Pokemon you could catch, now compare that to SM which just force basic story-driven fetchquests and one shitty route on Poni Island.
In fact story-driven sidequests in Pokemon are cancer, the Looker shit in XY was forgettable, the ORAS one ruined Sky Pillar and the SM/USUM ones just seem lazy.
