They need to make an alternate evolution for Dragonair that actually looks like it would come from the previous forms.
I like Dragonite, but it just doesn't fit with the aesthetics of the other two stages.

How does Dragonair change the aesthetic? It's blue, serpentine, has white wings resembling dratini's white fins. Dragonair's only real deviations are the addition of blue gems under it's neck and on it's tail. Dragonite changes into a stocky bipedal orange dragon who's face resembles nothing of the previous two besides a small horn on it's head.
Not to mention that gen 1 sprites aren't exactly the best.

Dragonair still looks way more like Dratini than Dragonite does to Dratini. The longer neck at least makes Dragonite resemble them somewhat. Also,

That would have been much better, or a lindwurm, or amphithere. They could have added to the line with those body morphs while still keeping the original design intact.
