>>35979349>mainline gamesThey are their own separate series of mainline games. It's been said 100 times over by now by Ishihara/Masuda that they want to make Let's GO into its own series of entry-lvl games.
That said, they're the best games for the purpose they serve- that is, being aimed at toddlers and GOtards
>20 year later upgradeI don't know if you meant that LGPE is a 20year later sequel or if you just meant 20 years of advancement in hardware upgrade( I hope the latter), but either way, it's been stated that the game is a 1:1 copy of Yellow so that the kids from 20yrs ago who are now grown up and have kid siblings/relatives/kids of their own can feel like "they know the game and know where to go/what to do and thus give tips to their toddlers or toddler siblings/relatives". That's the retarded reason stated officially, so in their eyes, it's what they aimed for when thinking "upgrade"
>They have way weaker trainers, no wild battlesThey're aimed at toddlers and GOtards, again, they're serving their purpose. It's not a traditional Yellow remake
>Don't let you fight gyms with whatever teams you want1.Game dialogue literally states it's only for trainers who have never challenged a gym before. The implication is that Brock's gym is just a gym tutorial for toddlers.
2. You absolutely CAN fight with whatever team you want. All you're being asked is to show the guy a specific type. After you show that, you can do whatever you want with it AND your team because the PC is portable and you can access it from your bag.
Now, don't get me wrong, these games are a dumpster fire to me and I'm not wasting a dime on either of them, but at least come up with a better, more informed post next time. The games aren't aimed at people like you and me, so no matter how much anyone shits on them, that's not going to change. We've been given promises for the 2019 games, so hold out until those before you start making threads about "the worst mainline games ever"
