Same sex marriage has been legal where i'm from ever since 2009, but people still treat LGBT people like absolute dogshit in certain places and situations.
But honestly, even if everything was fine, no discrimination, nothing considered different;
It's only right to celebrate the fact that we finally made it past the world as it used to be, and what the world is now.
As a straight person it might seem odd or alien, i get that. And i understand how some might raise questions now that everyone is considered equal in law.
Hope things make a bit more sense now.
