Is Pokemon Colosseum worth playing?

The game is a lot of fun with a fair amount of challenge, as well as how it is structured makes it feel extremely unique (not just because of the double battles but also because of limited pokemon/how you gain them)

XD is better gameplay wise because that's just how video game sequels work
but i like the story in colosseum, as childish as it sounds playing as an ex-villian team grunt is cool

honestly the challenge feels a little artificial with how they limit your Pokemon selection to mostly shitmons and also with how relatively late it lets you purify mons.

yeah that's pretty much my biggest complaint with the game, XD helps fix that just as platinum helps fix the same issue for dia and pearl
however it doesn't bother me too much since being forced to use weird pokemon teams you normally wouldn't ever use is why i like nuzlockes

Fair enough, though now that I think about it, I was more peeved about how long you go between getting a shadow Pokemon and being able to purify the fucker in Colosseum, and with how Shadow Pokemon work that really hamstrings you.

Yeah it definitely is, it's a good departure from the main series with a bunch of weird Pokemon to use. Music is amazing, places around the region are pretty neat, characters feel pretty different. It's a really neat game that's worth a try, still my favourite Pokemon game to date.
