As for a mon I like that everybody else hates, probably goo.dra, or lanturn. Whenever they're brought up it's always the same shit: if you like lanturn a million anons will jump out of the cracks in the wall to tell you chinchou is better and lanturn ruined it; if you like goo.dra, you will AT BEST just be told that goomy and sliggoo are better, and at worst, they'll say you just want to fuck it, you're a vorefag, FEM.ON.LY, and so on.

Literally NOBODY wanted an edge dragon from Sligoo, or barely cared about a water typing. The complaints come from the almost complete abandonment from the mollusk theme from the prevos and went the generic cutesy route for the fucking pseudo of that gen. Really, there aren't any fully evolved Dragon-types in Unova that I like, which sucks because GF is certainly capable of making good Dragon designs

People were disappointed with Goodra for the same reasons people were disappointed with lots of Gen 5 and Gen 6 pokemon at the time: they were generic in their evolution lines and came across as half-assed derivatives of Gen 1 pokemon. Goodra's line ended up being a boring Dragonite ripoff.

Misrepresenting people's criticisms isn't going to make people sympathize with you. The Goodra line was just boring. The oversimplified features and lack of commitment to it's concept makes it look like a shitty Gen 2 pokemon.

Don't think people actually hate him, but certainly not many actually give a single fuck about Golduck, or think he is weak/ugly/not as memorable as Psyduck (pretty much Pikachu - Raichu situation on a smaller scale). I liked him ever since the episode where he was a total bro to Misty, and try to use in my party whenever possible.

Who fucking cares. I play competitive but, if you were a true competitive player, you would make a clear barrier between ingame, bros, favorite pokemons etc...
And Competitive, strong pokemon that would be good in your team.
If you link the two together, you'll never be a good player and you'll never enjoy the main game by using strong competitive pokemon only.

I hate almost 3/4 of the Gen 7 mons and it's the only dex that contains designs i actually hate.
It doesn't help that i don't like cutesy shit without interesting characteristics.
Pic related is the most dumb, boring, dull and fakemon-like design in the entire serie for me. The worst thing about it are its fucking arms that don't even look like they are attached to its body.
I also hate Primarina with all my heart.

When it comes to the opposite question, i like a lot of Pokemon everybody hates, mainly strange ones like Lickylicky, Garbodor, Vanilluxe, Bronzong, Barbaracle or Tangela. They aren't my favs but i do like them a lot.

I don't know, but I'm not really a huge fan of the base form either. The Mega's cape looks awkward, and the red blobs on its arms look...off to me. I just don't get the hype.

I only hate the Forces of Nature for the copypaste going on with their Incarnate Formes. The designs individually I have no problem with.

I don't care for Zekrom at all to the point where it would probably be in my bottom 10. I know the box legends from Gen 4 onward get a lot of hate so maybe this is not really a great example of a "Pokémon that everyone likes," but it seems to be one of the more popular Gen 5 mons.

Not really Pokémon that I hate (in fact I love Espeon and Umbreon), but I'm sick of the Eeveelutions as a whole and think the people who want more need to shut up. No other evolutionary family takes up over 1% of the National Pokédex.

I'm pretty indifferent to all 3 Kanto starters even though they're far from bad, and don't like Blaziken and Decidueye. People love the Gen 4 starters, and while I really like Torterra and find all 3 useful in the game, they're mostly on the "okay" side to me.

I think the indifference to the Kanto starters and many Kanto mons as a whole is due to playing this franchise since the beginning and being a bit sick of the Kanto pandering. The games managed to make me sick of Gyarados, and it's a great mon in terms of use and design.

There's a lot of love for Chandelure, but honestly there's way more Gen 5 Pokemon I prefer over it.

Cacturne is one of my favourite Gen 3 Pokemon, but nobody ever seems to mention it unless it's the SLOW FRAIL MIXED ATTACKER meme. Which is a fair problem, but still.
