Gen 1, played it after Gen 2, hated it at the time because it was such a downgrade with missing features and the sprites looked bad
Gen 3, they took away the day and night cycle and was disappointed I couldn't go to 2 regions like Gen 2 which was the first game I played
Gen 5, Only played through the beginning on emulator one time and never again, don't know why
Gen 7, it's ok, too many cutscenes
Gen 2, first game I played, favorite
Gen 4, HGSS and Platinum were pretty great
Gen 6, Way too easy, and I didn't even use EXP share, could barely make myself finish it. But at least Rutile Ruby/Star Sapphire (difficulty hacks of ORAS) were pretty great.
