Things people say that really grinds your gears
>Gen 1 had difficulty settings because Bulbasaur is easy mode
Bulbasaur literally sucks ass after the first two gyms and attacks are resisted by/weak to Gyms 3-7

Razor Leaf is one of the best moves in the game with instacrit and going off 100 base Special. Body Slam disposes of most Pokemon that resist Grass attacks and can paralyze non-Normal types. Bulbasaur is the best starter and stays as one of the best in-game Pokemon in the entire game.

Even ignoring that Venusaur is still good, the difficulty settings idea applies only to the early parts of the game, because that's when there's a low selection of Pokemon to catch and so you'll rely on your starter more. Once you gotten to around the 3rd Gym the Pokemon selection starts getting wide enough that what starter you picked doesn't matter as much.

That a cloned pokemon is equally as sentimentally valuable as a regular Pokemon

I actually had somebody tell me thier clone of an event Pokemon that they got from a cloning glitch, was as valuable as the actual real event Pokemon you obtained legally by being at the event and from the event

But what they don't realize is that the clone has no value at all
