Serisouly question: Is there are way to mass tweet/Facebook/tag Pokémon or Junichi Masuda (or whoever) to make sure GF adds the National dex back into the gen 8 Switch games next year? I know /vp/ isn’t my personal army but hear me out...
The Pokémon from franchise has run with the motto “Gotta catch em all!” For years and whether or not it’s appeared on boxart is irrelevant because it is intrinsic to the franchise. The national dex has been an integral part of the whole monster catching and collecting experience of Pokémon and without an in-game catalogue/function to keep track it all seems pointless. Without a national dex what incentive is there to catch them all? Why bother? On top of that it kicks loyal fans in the ass because the Pokémon we have collected over the years (teams, box legends and exclusive pokemon, shinies and mythicals) have no reason to be sent into the newest games.
Not to mention..who honestly thought Gf would remove a core function like the National dex? The National dex was nothing like super training or contests or musicals that comes and goes, it was a feature that expanded the regional Pokédex as the new games added new Pokémon.
No matter what reason GF had to remove it from the games it cannot be understated that it was a stupid and arbitrary decision. We need to bring it back, how can we tell them, as a fan base how can we do it? Please tell me I’m not the only one who wants this important part of the games back!
