>>36003580>using the anime as referenceNot really, it's just that in Glaceon's case the pupils color are so similar to the sclera they're hard to distinguish even in the official art, so people and artists are constantly confusing the shine for the actual pupils. The position of that eye shine in a lot of the early art doesn't help either, I'd even bet the guys in charge of the anime got confused too. I mean, they also mistook Espeon's light pupils for a shine.
In Leafeon's case the separation is easier to notice because the contrast is a bit darker, but they're still pretty subtle compared to Umbreon and Espeon.
What I wonder is why didn't they just give every evolution "alien eyes" like the first 3.
