My original idea for my Johto’s Charmander Form was that, some time ago, a small group of Kanto Charmander’s line would have started to live in Mt. Silver and surrounding area. With the rich fauna of the mountain, the curious pokemons didn’t feel the need to leave the place as they would have a lot to explore and dig around. And so, with time, they started merging into a ground type. Charmander and Charmeleon would be both from fire and ground and Charizard would change his flying type to ground. I draw it as a four armed creature instead of having both arms and wings. His wings would be substituted by two big arms with big claws to help him dig. I gave the Johto’s form a swollen tail as well. I thought it would be interesting to draw them based on geckos’s tails, since it reminds me of a volcano (fire and ground) ready to erupt with its destructive power.
