Grimsley has shown up just as much as he has, both are loosely involved in the story, hell, Dexio and Sina have shown up more than them, Cynthia has appeared in more games and if Gen 4 remakes happen, she'll definitely appear in the Gen 8 games.
The only recurring character is Looker and he'll most likely be in every game now, I won't be surprised if he shows up in LGPE.
It's a good thing that they have past characters appear.
