I really like the idea of using thundurus with t-tar because of prankster t-wave, but it might mean using choice band t-tar instead of megatar. Excadrill is definitely always in the mix as a potential teammate

I think adamant megatar would be enough with thundurus. Plus you could give thundurus psychic for coverage against fighting types
Suicune is also really strong with a comp like this as well

If you don't want weakness overlaps then know that Pic Related gets Sand Rush and this actually gives it an immunity to sand storm damage

That's true, for some reason the idea of using a megatar without dragon dance feels strange but I could definitely just go with an all-out attacker.

If I did go with a dragon dance t-tar, maybe I should think about getting a will-o-wisp user that has good type synergy with tar, so he has an easier time setting up. Rotom-w is the first that comes to mind

Well they do share a fighting weakness, which is kind of a dealbreaker. But I didn't know stoutland had an immunity due to sand rush, that's neat

I've had multiple 200+ streaks in the oras maison and I can say that from experience any sort of setup like DD falls apart when you get past 75 wins or so. I think megatar can be good but idk if Dragon Dance really has the legs to work for a longer streak

Ttar is awful for that since it relies on stone edge. Don't do that to yourself.

If you really want to use it, use Curse+RestTalk with just Crunch. Pair with Gothitelle to trap fighting types.

Once you pass a certain point RNG favors the enemy and they cheese you constantly with swagger and paralysis and burns it's pretty obnoxious. DD just gives the opponent a free turn to apply status and potentially burn you which negates half of the stat boosts you get from setting up. Speed control in the form of icy wind or thunder wave is much more consistent and can minimize your chances to get statused. That's why I said that suicune is such a good pick as you have a ton of bulk to soak burn and toxic damage and you can spread icy winds so your dps can focus the enemy.

I just quickly got to 50 today with Weakness Policy Aegislash, Mega Salamence and Lum Berrt Garchomp. Was the first time I ever did the maison. Pretty easy, most of the teams pokemon could just be killed with Double Edge from Mega Salamence. I don't feel like going any higher since I read there's no more bosses to fight after 50.
