It really makes no sense. The second island is set up perfectly to allow the player to tackle the trials in any order, since there is garunteed to be one weak to your starter and the entire place is a loop. Even the level range isn't too different from one to the next.

Dancing guys were fine and I actually laughed at them, it was pretty neat to see GF make fun of themselves like that.

At least the dancing guys blocked off an area specifically meant for postgame. Stoutland jerkwad just blocked off the other half of the town that you'll end up seeing in 2 hours anyway, and the level range on the beach is around the levels of the three trials anyway.
