Compatibility with Pokemon GO. A region based off of an even less geographically diverse area than Alola. The only change I'd WANT to see, and have wanted, is three-type Pokėmon to shift the meta, like Fairy did. Just make it rare. Drapion for example: Poison/Dark/Bug

Otherwise, bring back Gym's, Z-moves are whatever, don't care, and add more megas, they can't just leave it at this point. Your choices of team members falls from like 400 to maybe 30 (start with all starter trios), and add type combos like Fire/Grass

I’d prefer zero big changes. I’m sick of them introducing new shit while sacrificing good content that could’ve been expanded upon. So I would say no big changes or new features outside of a few new mons, characters, region (standard shit). As far as features and mechanics go, just bring back all the good old stuff.

Further—So far, the only games in the entire series of Pokémon that haven’t cut any content is Gen II. It did it right. It took its predecessor, Gen I, and improved upon it and added new content. Didn’t remove anything that didn’t need to be removed. It provided a true sense of forward progression, it only went up. None of this one step forward two steps back bullshit. Just forward improvement across the board. Every other generation has needlessly cut good content, without fail. The only single game in the series that arguably rose back up to that standard of true improvement without making cuts was HGSS. Some of the new shit they’ve introduced is really good, I admit - Fairy type, Megas, regional variants, and Z-moves are all fine. But it’s time to stop forcing in new gimmicks and extra mechanics and it’s time to just stick with everything we’ve gotten so far and polish it. Bring back all the old content worth having (so most of it), polish it up, and call it a day.

You're not thinking about why pokemon trainers have the amount of pokemon they do. You don't just fight one, you're fighting an entire route's worth, and often multiple. By increasing the amount of pokemon they have, you're not adding difficulty, you're adding tedium. I agree that gym leaders and other fights that take place near a pokemon center should have more and stronger pokemon. Plus the surprise rival battle should be full powered, makes him more of a cunt

A hard reset like Black and White where the region only has the 100+ new Pokemon to use would be dope. I'm kinda sick of seeing the same mons in every game; I just want a whole new adventure that isn't littered with old stuff.

Good luck with that. Ever since the backlash in gen 5 from genwunners Game Freak has gone out of their way to appease them. This includes everything from being handed Kanto starters and Santalune Forest in XY to Kanto-only regional variants and now LGPE in gen 7.

That's the point of regular trainers though. Very few of them are meant to be a challenge is isolation. Their main purpose is to be an endurance test for you until you get to the next Pokécenter by gradually chipping away at your HP and PP.

Unrealistically, I'd like Game Freak to have a two-moded game. One mode that can be for veteran players and skips the introductory bullshit and has a curve in difficulty like Hard Mode in BW2. The other mode can be for the casual players or newbies.
