First off, unless youre playing the inferior version you dont have to wait until the end of the game to get Crabominable, you can get it as soon as you reach whatever route Lanakila is located at. Just head up to the base and run around in the grass or use a rare candy. Also where the fuck has it ever been shown to be able to fire its arms like rockets? I dont recall seeing anything like that ever.
Second, not every pokemon has to be specifically made for competitive you know. When I was playing through Ultra Sun Crabominable did fucking amazingly. Even though I said not every pokemoon has to be made solely for competitive, Ive had pretty damn good results with max speed Jolly Scarf Crabominable, its attack is high enough where it still has good attack even when its not Adamant or holding a Band. Even if you dont like the Jolly/Scarf set you can still run a pretty mean Avalanche. Also, 97/77/67 bulk isnt even that horrible honestly.
Third, if you run Earthquake or Iron Head then Fire types and Fairy become less of an issue. For Steel it has Fighting moves, for Flying it has Ice moves and for Fighting, albeit not the best option, it has Zen Headbutt.
Fourth, its moveset is pretty nice too, it has access to Drain Punch, Iron Head, Earthquake, Crabhammer, Close Combat and Ice Punch/Hammer just to name a few. I couldnt even really choose a moveset because of the options. Plus it deosnt really make sense for Crabominable to have priority moves, most pokemon that have priority moves either have pretty ok speed or look like theyd be fast.
