Not sure about the actual first, but I remember having Roserade, Empoleon, Blissey, Luxray, Staraptor and Sneasel once upon a time.

Earliest I remember is from Pearl;

Steelix(won the game with this one)
Staraptor
Palkia
Giratina
Abomasnow.

Back before I stopped using Legend mons in my playthroughs. That Steelix was caught in victory road and I remember thinking I glitched the game and got lucky catching a trade mon.

My first playthrough, I was like 3, and my dad hacked, what he gathered from reading about it, the strongest Pokemon onto my team.
My first real play through? Probably Blastoise, Lapras, Gyarados, Zapdos, Moltres, and Nidoking.

I remember getting stuck on cinnibar island, so I never finished the game originally. I was stupid and didn't want to look through the Pokemon Mansion for the key.

I could not beat Gardenia with my Prinplup, so I spent days training it at Mt. Cornet to an Empoleon, and destroyed Gardenia. The point is I had no need for other Pokemon because by the time I got to victory road, my Empoleon was level 80ish. I did have a party of 6, but super weak.

And even with that shit team it only took me 2 tries to defeat Cynthia.

Charizard, Mewtwo, Dux the Farfetch'd, and I completely forget who the other three were. Maybe Vileplume and Lapras were in there.
I also don't remember my gen 2-3 teams at all besides always using the fire starters and the cover legendaries.

The earliest team I fully remember is from my first time playing Diamond just a few weeks ago

Looking back it was a pretty good team, but they had awful movesets (10 year old logic). Shit like Charizard having 3 fire moves + Fly, etc.

In terms of naive PvP against my older brother it was something like this. We cheated the fuck out of our teams with rare candies and TMs; our only rule was "no Mewtwo/Mew." I only used some of them because they were exclusive to Blue and there was no way he could truly "copy" my (non-existent) strategies since he had Red.
