I was going to make a thread last week about designing second megas for Venusaur and Blastoise, so I slapped this together for an example for the OP.
I went with trying to make it look like the longgui turtle dragon by bringing back Wartortle features.

I like Blastoise the most out of any water starter simply because he's the "badass normal" in comparison to the others. All the other water starters have hydrokinesis of some kind, but Blastoise pretty much just uses guns.
