Hello, channers! I want to get into the Pokémon franchise, but I don't know where to start. I asked /r/pokemon for help and the only reply I got was "just play sumo". Now clearly Reddit is filled with trolls, as I want to play Pokémon and and sumo wrestling, so I've come here to ask for your help.

Which Pokémon game should I start with and for which console? Also which game has Charizard? He and Pikachu and the only Pokémons I know. Thank you. Praise kek!
