Despite some BW/BW2 haters, due to how experimental the games were, the DS era is pretty much THE Pokémon era. It finally solved a lot of problems from the previous gens, added lots of content in general and the DS cartridges allowed for better spritework and sound quality.

Black 2 is my favourite game in the series, and one of my favourite games of all time. It also helps that it can be decently challenging with a legitimate hard mode (even if the method of unlocking is a bit lame). Hell, you can even get a waifu or husbando in the game sort of.
But honestly Gen V in general is fantastic.

Cinccino isn't a pikaclone. All the pikaclones are electric type, have round cheek markings, and their English names are the same as their Japanese names, while none of those are true for Cinccino. It is indeed stupid cute, though.

This, Cinccino has much closer design philosophies to that of Sandshew or Vulpix. A simple, cute Pokemon that evolves into a bigger, cuter version. I used one in BW2 named Honey and she was such a monster, Tail Slap is king.

what I like about unova is the diversity of the pokedex and the region, unlike the water heaviness of hoenn(which was thankfully somewhat alleviated in oras through mirage spots) or sinnoh(annoying fog/deep snow/slow surfing and lack of type diversity)

Postgame in original BW is so pleasant (aside from overleveled enemies). Peaceful Vilage Bridge, grassy route 12, methodical Lacunosa Town, beautiful route 13, relaxing Undella Town. It may not have as much content as sequels' postgame but it's so good.

Unova has elements based on USA but it's not limited to them. That's the beauty of Pokemon games. Similarly, Kalos has elements based on France but it's not all you will notice.

I'm the anon you asked.
Can't say what is the best designed region but my favourite is Johto. Its structure lets you travel to many places without the need of Fly (Ecruteak has quick access to FOUR towns, it's great). Most of the routes are adjacent to different locations so you won't get bored (Route 30&31 - Dark Cave, Route 32&33 - Union Cave, Route 34 - Ilex Forest, Route 35&36 - National Park etc.). A lot of routes don't require you to even go into wild grass, giving you the choice to avoid it. Overall, Johto is small but it's packed with good content.

Ponte Vecchio is not Asian but you are right that Village Bridge is not based on American location.
Isn't Skyarrow Bridge mainly related to Brooklyn Bridge?
Other things you've listed seem to generic to be limited to one location in the world. Especially Entralink which feels like a grassy plain with nothing particularly interesting.
