That can simply be fixed by adjusting where the text is displayed when the animation plays out. Again, plenty of other JRPGs do this now without ruining the visuals. And with the effort put into Pokemon move animations now, there's not much visual performance to ruin.

Neither did I. Brock has only two Pokémon, and his 'ace' has a lower Attack stat than Rattata. You can easily beat Brock by doing what the game is all about and catching Pokémon. Onix can't take out a team of 6 level 7-8 Pidgeys.

Nah, we prefer full screen to every animation attack. Text is on the way, only. Specially on smaller screens, like portable Switch, 3DS, dS, GBA, GBC, GB, etc.

Yes, you are objectively not supposed to play with both joycons. That is purely for co-op, something not present in any previous games.

The Pokemon experience is going to be the exact same as it always has been, unless you go out of your way to play with both joycons, which is explicitly unintended.
