We were saying the first main series game for the Switch would come, not Gen 8 specifically. I specifically was saying it would probably be Kanto or would be an Alola port (originally leaning towards Alola last year, but shifting to Kanto around February) with an announcement probably between Feb 26th, and April 20th, but close to or at E3 being possible and early August not being entirely out of the realm of possibility.
Funny how they kept saying people who believed there'd be one this year kept moving the goalposts when we weren't, and then turn around and actually move their goalposts, requiring it to be Gen 8 rather than simply a main series Game Freak game in 2018 when only morons were expecting Gen 8 this year (and only the utterly retarded wanted it this year).
