How do I grind before the elite 4 in gen 1? I already battled all the trainers, but my shitmons are still just under level 50. I think gen 1s biggest flaw is no vs seeker combined with not enough trainers to battle.

You kidding right?, you know you can easily grind exp by capturing mons, plus you have the exp share and you can send over whatever strong pokemon you have in GO to let's go, and if that's not enough you can bullshit your way to victory by turning co-op and doing 2vs1 against the elite 4, you don't even need someone to help you since you can easily control both joycons
i swear this game is pretty much 5 years old proofed

You don't need to.
With the E4's awful level up movesets, combined with badge boosts, stat exp, and access to TMs and healing items, grinding is completely unnecessary.

don't use them, die, repeat
the best place to grind for the elite 4 is the elite 4

Think that's good? I wanted to be at least level 50 on all of them so I've been grinding on victory road for a bit but it keeps giving me more wild Pokémon in their 20s than 40s so I'm not getting shit for xp.

Wish USUM has vs seeker but with EXP turned off. Or NG+ mode in general, would be fun to rewatch the whole game without having to start over. Might consider getting an extra game copy just to do that I guess. I like VS seekers and just ability to rebattle in general.
