Oh, damn. Lots of changes in there. Does this mean there's still hope for more DLC?

Anyway, mained Braixen. Haven't played in a month or two though. Think I was either C1 or had just made B5. Can't recall. Think my winrate was about 60~% ranked, 90~% friendlies.

I regret buying it but for a different reason. I do get why theyll never update it with DLC or anything, but I got in on the Wii U and that version just got completely ignored, even before they ended the Wii U's life cycle. I dont even think it cot any minor updates either.

Pokken plays absolutely nothing like Tekken, though.

Tekken's a plane based 3d fighter like DOA and such, Pokken's core combat systems are all based on a pure 2d plane like 2d tradittional fighters, and the 3d shift mechanic is closest to stuff like Gundam Vs or Dissdia rather then Tekken or DoA, etc.

I mean it's a fighting game, if you don't have the drive to put your face to the grinder of actually gitting gud and trying to be better as a player rather then just content completion then you aren't going to get much out of it.

As a fighting game it's one of the best ones with an active scene right now (great roster balance, playstyle variety, strong focus on neutral/good neutral play, etc), and it's one of the most approachable to get into, but fundamentally it's still a competitive fighter and your replay value comes from self improvement.

If you want to get into it pretty much the entire community uses discord.gg/pokken

SM2 is geneerally considered one of the worser characters, hence the buffs he got this patch

I don't quite get it myself, I think he's about on par with Garchomp, Sceptile, ettc as upper mid-low high tier characters, but that's the consensus

Yes, onlinee matchmaking is pretty fast. Tournamentt/competitive scene is active as well, though not huge like DBFZ for SFV and such (but it's not tiny, either, iit's around middle of the road as far as current FGC scenes)

Like I said this doesn't fix the fact that most of his moves are slow as balls, that his grab/CA sucks and that ice skating doesn't give you any real benefits (if anything it makes you a very easy target).

There is clearly no hope for my main. I'll pass until another batch of DLC comes out, and hopefully it will have a character I actually want to use.

Well Scizor can be a great mon to learn the game with since the skills to be good at scizor translate to the rest of the game and cast too. Go to http://www.pokkenarena.com/ and there should be a character guide section dedicated to each and every char in the game (although most of the info anyone could want would be on the scizor discord).
