>>36052168Gen 1's main issue is that it's visually bland. Johto looked cooler. Goldenrod is more interesting than Saffron, for example. I like the dungeons and stuff but it shouldn't appear in another game unless Johto's there too, and they can change the cities around like HGSS so it's more vibrant. Cinnabar Island might look cooler if in addition to the points of interest, the volcano was also explorable. They could take elements from Mt. Chimney and One Island to do this if they wanted.
Gen 3 has a lack of water, but water is boring and you only encounter Water-types when exploring Water, and 90% of the time it was a Wingull or a Tentacool. Soaring was cool for 5 seconds until it got boring as fuck, but it was neat that you could encounter flying-types by flying through flocks, so maybe adding those to Water routes would break up all the monotony.
Only played through Sinnoh one time when DP came out and I remember liking it, so i've not much to say there.
B2W2 fixed most of the issues of BW. Added lots of interesting biomes and landscapes that we wouldn't have otherwise gotten and the Unova region makes sense. An industrialized region would simplify its routes and push Pokemon off to the side, so I actually liked it. I think most people's problems with Gen 5 was stupid shit like Entralink and having an all new Pokedex and just filling it with Gen 1 expies.
Alola is an abortion. It's full of shitmons except for the UBs and there's almost no places to explore. It's impossible to get lost or to feel like you're discovering anything and they make up for this with a shitty story with a fuck ton of dialogue and NPCs interrupt you every six minutes for some trivial bullshit.
