The phys/spec split is not bad because the movesets were pretty great as it is and mons that had dual phys/spec movesets generally had high enough stats for both. and even then it falls down to what you want to use.
And opinion again on exclusive pokemon, I am personally having a gay ass old time with Butterfree, Persian, Victoreebell, Farfetch'd, Starmie and Paras. If I didnt like the mons, there are other games to play. Just because you dont like them does oh wait im trying to change your opinion which I was avoiding from the start because I know I cant and in the end pointless
