So I've emulated Moon and UM, ready to play at any time, but haven't touched them in weeks. I want to nuzlocke them. I've never played, I don't know the trials, and I don't know the mons. I won't be able to use the QR stuff so I'll be missing out on alot of Pokemon, but I'll be getting mostly gen 7 mons because of this.

Worth it? I've been wanting to scratch my Pokemon itch.

Go for it dude. Gen 7 is bad, but it has fun Pokemon and USUM is definitely one of the most challenging games in the series.

US/um is only difficult in the sense that you fight way stronger pokemon than your team occasionally. It doesn't have the type of difficulty found in gen 1 for example, like rock tunnel, where you have to go through a really long cave area with an absurd amount of trainers, making it so you have to debate if you want to turn back and heal or power through the dungeon. I prefer the latter, because the former feels artificially difficult.
