Why remove features that people liked? I get when it comes to hardware like how you couldn't bring something form GSC to RSE due to GBA or removal of following pokemon in the 3d games. But why remove PSS or Super training?

I just wanna know why they keep making more odd methods to evolve or obtain certain pokemon then only doing it with a single species. How much more could they fit in the game if they didn't have to have rotom appliances or deoxys rocks, a forest, an ice cave, a magnetic place etc.
