>>36076561Kind of. I’m excited for the change in capturing and training Pokémon because it’s the kind of formula change this franchise has needed for years. Being that it’s a return to Kanto which was the first region to have HM’s, I’m genuinely curious how they will handle it now that following Pokémon is back and the series has done away with HM’s. I’m also really excited for the story changes, since the initial leaks said the games will still have Red and Blue but they aren’t the protagonists, and we’ve already seen the new protagonists and the rival, so things are already different from the jump. It’s supposed to be a remake of Yellow, so the potential inclusion of Jessie, James, and Meowth or some type of alternative to them is also something I’m looking forward to.
Really, what gives me interest in this game is the fact that it’s a return to Kanto, with only Gen 1 Pokémon, in a drastically different era of Pokémon. So many different factors that will be touched upon in different ways like Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, older characters, and obviously the Pokémon Go aspect of everything.
It’s cool to speculate about and I’m definitely looking forward to it, just to see how it will effect the franchise from here on out
