Poor guy. If it was anything else beside rock and maybe bug it would be pretty good. Though with toxapex it may not have fallen in usage by now.

I use him every so often and just think "why doesn't this work?" He's tremendous if you can actually get him into a situation where an ice doesn't die, but there are only so many of those.

I think without Filter, it'd be too niche as it's getting 2hkod by any apecial attack. Even with filter, it's gonna have a hard time in the current meta with so many special attackers and even fat defensive mons that have special coverage like tapu fini or tangrowth/amoonguss

Ice need to resist Poison, Water and Flying
Fairy need to take duble demage to Dark, make them both be weak for each other, it's some good vs evil manchild shit, GF made the "good" win always.

The simple balanced way to fix ice is:

- Resist Water
- Remove weakness to either Rock or Fighting (and since Stealth Cancer still defines competitive play, probably rock)

That's really all it needs

Let ice resist ground and flying and you made bulky ice types 10x better

Avalugg has a nice movepool its his type thats holding him back.

The resistance to fighting doesn't even really make sense. If we're going to define all of fighting's effectiveness by "hurr you can break it if you punch it real hard" then they should be strong against everything except fire, water and ghost.

I still like Avalugg, but his design is jarring, for the longest time I thought his image never fully loaded back when Gen. 6 was being revealed.

They're the most common type, and they are a little too good generally to have that distinction.

I really just want Ice to be super-effective and for Ice to resist water. Water can handle another weakness without becoming terrible, and Ice needs the defensive buff.
