If USM is the best modern Pokemon experience, I don't even want to get close to the worst. It's just not fun; there's no gameplay. You get handholded the entire game, it lacks the feeling of adventure, it's completely linear, you have no optional areas to explore or follow optional routes like other games. Difficultywise, it's awful as well. The only difficult part are the Totem battles. Gen 8 is the worst gen for the story, but the competitive isn't as disgusting.
